The QCF Lecture Series is a career awareness, orientation and development initiative launched by Qatar Career Fair Center, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, with the objective of providing Qatari youth, in particular nationals aged 16-26, with an opportunity to attend and engage in high level career related presentations and participate in discussions with experts from different occupational backgrounds.

The lectures provide an excellent opportunity for career specialists to establish and further expand their networks and further inform Qatari youth on career awareness which will directly benefit the Qatari society and specifically the career development field in the long run. The lectures also aim to encourage interactive engagement, collaboration and knowledge exchange between diverse stakeholders, who are – as clients, beneficiaries and providers – involved in the education-to-employment, career planning, development and implementation process of the Qatari youth.

The lectures will also serve as a key vehicle to connect with, engage and inform diverse groups, through expert presentations and interactive discussions with career stakeholders in Qatar. During the lectures, participants will present, discuss, evaluate and/or advocate current career planning and development practices applied in Qatar and provide suggestions for future improvement, as well as local and regional career guidance research projects and advice on future research in this area.

Also, the lectures will highlight and discuss the knowledge gained from international career guidance projects, which were customized and implemented locally and/or regionally. The benefits, challenges, insights and lessons gleaned from such projects will be emphasized.

Moreover, different focus groups of the upcoming Qatar Career Forum will be introduced and prepared in order to formulate a strong team for each Forum category, which will subsequently work on different papers related to, for example, education, training and employment.
